The Sopranos — Season 2
Continuing my series reimagining modern key art for each season of The Sopranos, I decided to approach season 2 with a less symbolic and graphic poster and focus on foregrounding the breakout star of the show: James Gandolfini. By season 2, Gandolfini WAS the show, so the logical next step was to design a comp that would heavily feature Gandolfini's likeness, his star power a greater pull than any ensemble concept poster could manage.
Of course, it was also just too good a visual pun to pass up.
